Safeguarding

Help us to keep everyone safe

What is safeguarding?

Safeguarding is about protecting people’s health, wellbeing, and human rights, and ensuring they are safe from harm, abuse, and neglect. As a charity, we are fully committed to creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for everyone we work with.

Many of our beneficiaries may be experiencing challenging circumstances and could be considered vulnerable in a general sense. However, in legal terms, safeguarding responsibilities specifically apply to children (under 18) and adults at risk—those who have care and support needs due to factors such as age, illness, or disability.

How do we respond to safeguarding concerns?

We take all safeguarding concerns seriously. We ask external professionals, beneficiaries, team members, and other stakeholders to complete this safeguarding referral form if they have any concerns about:

  • Our conduct as a charity in relation to children or vulnerable adults, or
  • The safety or wellbeing of a beneficiary who may be at risk.

Please note, this is not a general service referral form, and should only be used for safeguarding concerns.

Where can you find our safeguarding policy?

You can find our extensive safeguarding policy here. This outlines our approach to safeguarding and provides information on how to contact our Designated Safeguarding Lead directly.

If you have a serious concern about our charity

You can find out more about referring concerns directly to the Charity Commission here, if you do not feel able to raise them directly with our team.

Together we can ensure we keep everyone safe.
Thank you for your support.
